Research Interest: Thomas Jefferson Cabe was my g g grandfather. He was said to be a Black Irishman born on board ship from Ireland to America before the opening of the port at Ellis Island. He married twice, each time to a widow. His wife Margaret Pyeatt was mother t o my g grandmother Elizabeth Cabe, born in Washington County Arkansas in 1854. Elizabeth died and is buried in Huron SD.
